NIRFAST is a single software package for light propagation modelling and multi-model optical image reconstruction. It consists of of two main components:

A medical image processing and analysis component built on the 3DSlicer platform (called NIRFASTSlicer)

The mesh generation and optical computation component built on MATLAB (now called NIRFASTMatlab)

These components are integrated to provide on seamless workflow, straightforward multi-model optical image reconstruction with real data.
